CSIRO Future Research Vessel

In May 2009, the Australia Government allocated $120 million for a new ocean - going research vessel to replace the present CSIRO Marine national Facility Research Vessel Southern Surveyor. Teekay Holdings Australia Pty Ltd was awarded the contract in January 2011 to design,  build and commission the new vessel.

Tasmanian Irrigation Schemes

Petuna Aquaculture Capacity Expansion

Petuna is currently undertaking a capacity expansion project, that will increase capacity, capability and efficiency at all Petuna operations.
Petuna is proud to actively encourage Australian industry participation in our own industry, where specialist equipment supply is dominated by manufacturers in the Northern hemisphere. We are therefore seeking expressions of interest for participation in the following areas of our expansion;
  • recirculating aquaculture systems
  • marine farm feed systems
  • factory chillers and freezers.

Redevelopment Royal Hobart Hospital Project

Tasmanian Irrigation

Tasmanian Irrigation has established a register of plant and equipment suitable for building infrastructure including dams. Those who are leaving or have left the forestry industry in particular are encouraged to register here giving details pertaining to the plant, equipment and operators they have available that may be of value for dam building.  Tasmanian Irrigation tenders the construction of infrastructure to independent contractors but will make the register available to those tendering and to the successful contractors. The information provided to ICN by the industry participant is generally of a business rather than personal nature; however some information may be private in nature.

ICN recognises the importance of your privacy and understands your concerns about the security of the personal information you provide to us.

ICN complies with the National Privacy Principles (“NPP’s”) as contained in the Privacy Act 1988. The NPP’s detail how personal information is collected, used, stored and destroyed and how an individual may gain access to personal information held about them.

This policy details how ICN manages your personal information, sets out some of your privacy rights in relation to personal information, and advises how you can contact us with privacy queries. Our policy is not aimed at curtailing the flow of business or business information, but simply ensuring personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Laws.


Collecting Personal Information About You


In the course of doing business, ICN endeavours to collect business information only. However, the collection of personal information in some instances is unavoidable. For industry participants supplying information for the business matching services, this may mean providing your contact details to other industry participants so that they can contact you to discuss your particular capabilities or experience or the goods you produce or the services you provide
Please note that you may have your information removed from ICN's databases at any time by notifying us.
In some cases ICN may disclose your personal information to other third parties, but only if it is required to complete the transaction you have entered into. ICN may also disclose your personal information where ICN has sought your consent or as is otherwise allowed by law.


Storage and Security


Personal information is stored electronically, on paper, or both. ICN has physical, electronic and procedural safeguards for personal information and takes reasonable steps to ensure that your information is protected.

Data stored electronically is protected by both internal and external firewalls, and access to electronic records is limited by passwords. Only personnel (including ICN consultants) with a password have access to all information on the system and files can be designated read-only or no access.

Your personal information is stored within secure premises. Externally, the premises have several barriers to unauthorised entry including secured entry and monitored alarms. Internally, steps are taken to ensure access to personal information is limited, including filing in a locked cabinet within a secured office.

Please be aware that personal information provided by e-mail may not be secure. If you have any concerns regarding the security of your personal information, when sending e-mails, please provide information in an alternate form, such as by mail or facsimile. We may record your e-mail address if you send us e-mail.

ICN uses secure methods to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information when it is no longer needed. ICN will retain personal information while it is required for any of its functions, or for any other lawful purpose.


Access & Correction


ICN will take reasonable steps to amend or correct your personal information to keep it accurate and up to date. Please notify ICN of any changes to your personal (and business) information.
