The ICNTAS performs a technical role providing purchasers with a free service to identify Australian/NZ manufacturers capable of supplying those items that would otherwise be imported.

The Tasmanian Department of Education invites expressions of interest from the building and construction industry in the following categories:


  • Architects and Building Designers
  • Building and Building Maintenance Contractors
  • Building Surveyors
  • Quantity Surveyors
  • Civil Engineers
  • Structural Engineers

This information will assist in identifying local capacity to support the forthcoming Building the Education Revolution (BER) program. For contractors to register you must be able to provide a building practitioner accreditation number. More Information...



Tasmanian Water Projects Registration

The Tasmanian Irrigation Development Board will soon be advertising various tenders and work packages for nearly $300 million worth of water-related projects in Tasmania. The Industry Capability Network Tasmania is assisting the Tasmanian Irrigation Development Board with the management of suppliers for these projects.

Companies wishing to bid for upcoming projects and work packages are encouraged to register on the ICN Tasmania Water Projects Directory by either clicking here or following the Major Project link on the left.
 
Work packages will be issued under a pre-qualification criteria model depending on the scope of work required and the Tasmanian Irrigation Development Board will be using the ICN Water Capability Directory as its main communication tool to industry.The directory will also be linked to other significant water projects around Australia and once a company is registered on the system it can register for other projects and work packages.
 
If you register for the Tasmanian projects you will be automatically registered on the ANZ Water Capability Directory. You can also register for other water projects that are posted on Project Gateway using your personal login and password.


Tasmanian Tenders Online

The Department of Treasury and Finance recently released it�s redeveloped Tasmanian Government Tenders Online website.  The website is an online resource for businesses to stay informed with the latest Tasmanian Government tenders and contracts.
With thousands of businesses already registered, you, too, can keep up-to-date with the latest Tasmanian Government tenders information.
Registering your business on the Tenders website allows you to not only receive email notification of the latest tenders, but also allows you to download tender documents* and, following the latest site redevelopments, lodge tender submissions online.

National Broadband Network

 
 
NBN Tasmania is the first stage of the Commonwealth Government's ambitious multi-billion dollar national broadband network.

Tasmania was selected to lead this national initiative because of the extensive work already undertaken in developing and testing the concept of fibre-to-the-premises.

A panel of contractors has established to build the initial $38 million rollout of the NBN.  This portal is to identify additional local companies that can assist with the Tasmanian build phase.

At this stage only companies that can provide specific capabilities should register for the project.  Please do not register here if your company is a seller or reseller of consumables or equipment.  Another portal may be established for Australian/NZ made equipment for the project in the future.

We are currently looking for local companies that can provide services in the following categories.

  • Cable Installation (all aspects, above ground, below ground etc)
  • Horizontal Directional Drilling
  • Electrical Installation (Overhead and Underground)
  • Qualified Underground Asset Locators
  • Civil Contractors (Ground Works)
  • Trenching
  • Telecommunications Technicians
  • Fibre Optic Splicer’s/Jointers
